Lori’s Salt Caramel Syrup…..which is truly in a class by itself. It is neither a salt caramel ‘sauce’ or a coffee syrup, but instead a natural fat-free thick invert syrup made of liquefied hand stirred cane sugar caramel with just the right amount of celtic sea salt, vanilla, and a touch of Boyajian maple. It can be used as a breakfast syrup, a dessert syrup, or an all around sweetener in place of sugar, honey or maple syrup . It is 100% handcrafted in Ashland Oregon, and was recently featured in the Hatchery tasting box, and you can watch a little video about it on their website. It was also picked as one of the 3 favorite new alternative sweeteners by Gourmet Retailer magazine in their round-up from the 2015 Expo West.
What is the blogging assignment?
Increase awareness of the syrup’s existence…and awesomeness…. as it’s now lost on Amazon.com in the midst of the myriad of similar sounding products with which it has nothing in common. This can be done with blog reviews and through social media, and the mention should link directly to the Amazon listing.
So far it’s gotten nothing less than 5 star reviews wherever it has sold. Unfortunately, the best way to sell the syrup is to give people a taste…..as most everyone who tastes it also buys it…and comes back for more! But that’s not possible on Amazon. And Amazon is the best way to sell it outside of local stores as the glass bottle is heavy, but with Amazon Prime the shipping is free. And plastic bottles are not an option as the flavor would be compromised. Also, using Amazon as a distribution method keeps the cost down to the consumer. Previously, it was a best seller in Cost Plus World Market stores nationwide as an exclusive, but the stores recently did a reset to allow new private label products and discontinued it…..so those customers also need to be reached to find it on Amazon.
